human geography field trip

Our Year 12 geographers conduct studies in Liverpool!
Today our A level geographers spent a productive day on field trip in Merseyside. Here they visited a variety of destinations exploring regeneration, place-making and rebranding.
These included visits to Toxteth to explore factors including social inequality, housing accessibility and regeneration, and to Dungeon Lane and Forthlin Road to investigate the effects of tourism. They also took in St James Station, Pier Head and the fantastic new Everton Stadium.

Here they considered whether sports-led regeneration creates winners.

And how changing flows of money and people would influence the surrounding area.

A great day for our geographers with huge thanks to Ms Bramwell and Mr Neale for facilitating and supporting this opportunity for them!
