busy 24 hours in drama
Great experience for our Drama students as the week ends!
Our Year 9 and 10 GCSE Drama students enjoyed a wonderful 24 hours at the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse.
Firstly, on Thursday evening, they visited to see its brilliant production of The Crucible directed by Joe Meighan. Then, in a great opportunity, on Friday they spent the whole morning there in a workshop with Joe.
This was a followed by a guided tour of the Garrick's fantastic facilities from Joe himself! Amazing, and our students came away having learnt a great deal and truly inspired by the experience. Many thanks to Joe and all at the Garrick for facilitating this fantastic opportunity for them.
On Thursday in our own theatre both year 7 and Year 8 channelled the Bard himself, with Year 7 bringing Macbeth's 3 witches wonderfully to life.
And Year 8 the wonders of A Midsummer's Night's Dream.
