rugby champions!

A group of our Year 10 and Year 11 students play for Trafford Rugby squads that have enjoyed cup final success this week, and we could not be more proud to share the fantastic news and join the celebrations of their victory.

In our lead picture is TMV Rugby Union U15s squad, played in by our year 10 students Harvey and Charles. Last weekend their annual Rugby tour took place, starting in Edinburgh on Saturday, where the team came out victorious in a very tight contest, winning 31-29 against Edinburgh Accies RUFC. 

An early 6am start on Sunday followed and saw the squad take the long coach journey up to Rochdale, the venue for this year's Lancashire Cup Finals.

But, the players produced one of their best performances of the season with a 43 - 17 victory against Tyldesley RUFC, capping off what has been a very successful and enjoyable season for the squad, lifting the Lancashire Plate Cup.

Well done to everyone!

Also enjoying victory is Trafford MV U16 squad (pictured above) for whom our students Rory 11S, Monty 11S and Connor 11T play. They won the Lancashire plate final, beating Aldwinians by 48-7 to round off what has been a truly brilliant season.
