house prefect celebration

Today our House leaders were delighted to organise a special celebration at break time for our Year 13 House prefects who sadly will be leaving UGS soon: Sam (Oak), Jake (Park), Adam (Bradfield), Olivia (Orme), Alice (Bradfield), Chiedozie (Mersey)(all pictured above with our House leaders), Abi (Oak), Libya (Orme) and Owen (Bradfield).

They have worked really hard all year in their roles and the House leaders were delighted to award them parting gifts and to share their pride and appreciation in them all.

There have been many highlights, not least the wonderful Christmas party they organised for the children of Delamere school:

And the fund-raising they put into this with a special candy cane delivery service that resulted in a memorable party and experience for the children with lots of gifts distributed from a very special guest!

They will be a hard act to follow, but recruitment for the new team begins soon from our Year 12 cohort.

For now, we bid our current team a sad but fond goodbye, you've been great ambassadors not only for your houses but for UGS, and we wish you all well-deserved success!
