Our kind-hearted 6th form students raise funds for July's charitable trip to Kenya

This weekend a group of our 6th form students, accompanied by Dr Richards, undertook a sponsored 8 mile charity walk around part of the Mersey Valley Trails in order to fundraise for their forthcoming charitable excursion to Kenya in July with African Adventures.

Here they will be helping to make a difference with voluntary work by participating in either teaching activities at local schools or building and maintenance projects.

They will also take part in visits to the Nakuru Game reserve, an elephant orphan rescue centre, a giraffe centre and the East African Rift Vally.

The walk raised a truly impressive £1500 towards the trip and we could not be more proud of everyone involved and their commitment, compassion and drive to help others, a fantastic example of our core school values of Pride, Participation and Empathy in action.

Really well done all and huge thanks to everyone who has sponsored our students!
