welcome summer term

Busy first day of a brand-new term!
It's been fantastic to welcome our students back on this gloriously sunny day for the summer term.

We wish our Year 11 GCSE and Year 13 A level Modern Foreign Languages students the very best of luck and well-deserved success as their speaking exams begin this week. We're incredibly proud of all their hard work and know that they will reap the rewards.
Science Club
In our lead pictures and below, KS3 Science Club can be seen launching their summer term programme of activities by working hard together in our Nature Garden.

They have been busy weeding and preparing beds for sunflower seed planting, and we look forward to sharing updates on all that they achieve.
It was also lovely to see many of our students enjoying spending their lunch break on the front field.

That was looking splendid in the early summer sunshine!

Year 12
For Year 12, the day began with a welcome from Head of Year Mr Neale.

Followed by an informative and insightful presentation from our CEIAG Coordinator Amy Marshall (pictured below), on Post-18 pathways, apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships.

Amy explored the options available to our students after completing their A levels; what apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships involve; labour market information; the resources available to them and useful websites; how to optimise applications; examples of our student leaver destinations; and advisories on next steps.

This lunchtime, Amy also invited Year 12 to attend a follow-up drop-in session during Future Apprentice Society for more advice and support and to answer any questions they may have on their future pathways.
