cultural day 2026

We've been delighted today to host a very special day on the UGS calendar: Cultural Day.

Organised by a collaboration of our TARA (Trafford Schools' Anti-racism alliance) committee, Senior Prefect team and sixth form students.

It has been a day on which all of our students and staff were invited to wear clothing that represented their culture in exchange for a donation to a range of charitable causes.

And it has been fantastic to see so many cultures proudly represented by our students.

Special lunchtime and after-school celebration events were also organised.

These involved spectacular runway shows of multicultural dance and song.

As well as the opportunity to sample global foods kindly prepared and contributed by our students, parents and carers.

We could not be more proud of the participation of all of our students from across the year groups on this wonderful day.

 And of the joyous celebration of diversity that raised the roof.

Really well done to everyone involved, but not least to our hugely talented performers!
