Cambridge conference

Year 12 meet academics, admissions officers and current students from Cambridge University
Today a cohort of our Year 12 students attended the University of Cambridge North West Student Conference that took place at Haydock Park. Here, they had the fantastic opportunity to learn more about Cambridge University and the application process from academics, admissions officers and current students from eight of its colleges.

They also attended subject specialist presentations on courses that they aspire to apply for, and on all aspects of the application process, taking part in incredibly insightful Q&A sessions.

It was also wonderful to bump into one of our former students: Cambridge undergraduate Laurel (pictured below with Head of Sixth Form Mrs Mangham-Dewhurst), who was in attendance representing Pembroke College, where she is currently reading Natural Sciences.

With huge thanks to all the visiting representatives from Cambridge. Our students came away inspired to pursue applications to the university and equipped with a wealth of first-hand insights and knowledge.
