Year 12 ucas discovery trip

Year 11 Success Assembly, Supercurricular lecture & more!

Today all of our Year 12 students headed to Manchester Central to visit the UCAS Discovery tour 2026.

Here, they had the opportunity to meet with over 150 representatives from universities, apprenticeship providers, employers and UCAS advisers.

A great opportunity to find out first-hand about the many pathways and options available to them.

Year 11 Success Assembly

This morning, Year 11 took part in the latest in our series of Success assemblies delivered by Dr Richards on effective revision strategies for Biology GCSE and the crucial 6 marker questions.

Mr Regan also reminded Year 11 about the extensive provision of support sessions available to them in each of their subjects at this all-important time as they prepare for their external exams.

Supercurricular Lecture

This evening we were delighted to welcome executive producer of Platform Media UK, Antony D'Angelo, to deliver the latest in our series of supercurricular lectures on "What does a Podcast producer actually do?"

This was a brilliantly informative and entertaining lecture, granting us some real insights into the many facets of working in this field, and what a typical (and atypical!) day looks like.

Antony also shared his own pathway into the profession, offered advice, and gave us the unique opportunity to conceptualise our own podcasts, on which he shared some fabulous feedback!

It was really great to see the students, parents, carers and staff who were in attendance so engaged and asking lots of questions, with huge thanks to Antony for giving his time to inspire us all!

Artist of the Month

Our Art department is proud to celebrate their latest Artist of the Month, Helena 12X, who created this stunning piece of work using oil pastels, and it is on display in our Art corridor for all to enjoy.
