hitting the slopes

Half-term ski trip to the Italian Alps!
Last Sunday, a group of our students from Years 8–13 jetted out of Manchester to the stunningly scenic ski resort of Bardoneccia in the Italian Alps.

They wasted no time in hitting the slopes and learning the basics.

In what was the first experience of the sport for many.

The tour party stayed at the amazing Olympic Village Hotel, which is near to the centre of town and the lifts, and hosted the athletes of the 2006 Winter Olympics.

After fun days on the slopes, including hitching a ride there on a speedy track:

Our students enjoyed lots of après-ski, including ice skating:

Swimming, tubing, a cinema night, a disco and a special birthday celebration on the final evening for students Genie and Maxie!

A wonderful experience for all involved and a great opportunity to make more of those all-important UGS memories!
