official recognition

Impactful work of our students is officially recognised by Trafford Council

We're extremely proud to share that UGS has now been officially added to the Trafford Council digital White Ribbon (pictured below), in support of the White Ribbon Campaign. This campaign raises awareness and supports women and girls affected by domestic violence and abuse, and it’s brilliant that our contribution has been recognised in this way.

We’ve supported the campaign in so many meaningful ways: from our charity bake sales and fundraising events, to the fantastic work of the Feminist Society (lead picture and below).

The students who have been involved have represented the school so well, and the lead officer at Trafford Council was genuinely impressed by the maturity, compassion and commitment shown. She was very keen to make sure we were added to the ribbon because of the positive example our students have set.

The work that our students have carried out really does make a difference, and they should feel very proud of the impact they’re having. They are fantastic ambassadors, not only for UGS, but for young people everywhere,
