lots to celebrate

As the term draws to a close, our students continue to do us proud!

We're only 2 days in to our last week of term and there has been not one, but 3, year group celebrations of achievement already!

Firstly, on Monday, Head of Year 12 Mr Neale organised a special celebratory assembly to wrap a fantastic first term for the cohort.

Lots of awards were given out for academic, departmental and community achievements, and for earning phenomenal amounts of those all-important house points!

There was a really lovely community atmosphere, and it was a fabulous way to round off the term, with lots of motivation for moving forward!

This morning, it was the turn of Year 13.

And again awards were bestowed for high levels of achievement, most improved, and for upholding and embodying our core UGS values of Pride, Participation and Empathy.

Really well done to our Sixth Form, keep up the great work!

Also, today, Head of Year Mr Gough had the privilege of inviting Year 10's top achievers to a celebration event at break in our Conference Room. These were students who had received especially good data reports recently and they were treated to a festive cake, as well as some words of wisdom from Mr Gough and Deputy Head Mr Regan. Well done to our fantastic Year 10s!

House Reading Champions

Today we've also been delighted to celebrate our House Reading Champions for this term: Jeremy, Hadassah, Wad, Olive, Bella, Ayesha and Sanvika, who have done us incredibly proud by reading the greatest number of library books and by impressing us with their high levels of participation in our reading challenges.

Really well done, and we look forward to seeing you continue your UGS reading journey in 2026!
