remembrance assembly

Impactful assembly as a busy week ends

This morning, Mr Kennedy-Fowler and the Senior Prefect team delivered an emotive assembly commemorating remembrance week and the service and sacrifices of all who fought to defend our freedoms and to preserve peace and unity.

We also paid our respects to alumnae who lost their lives in the World Wars.

The poignant assembly was accompanied by music from Will 10M and the Last Post from Mr Harrison.

Also today, a group of students from our Art department organised a fund-raising bake sale, with many home-made cakes inspired by Remembrance:

And a "guess how many poppies are on the dress" in aid of the Royal British Legion.

We could not be more proud of the charitable hard work of our Art students and of all in our school community who supported this extremely worthy cause and continue to uphold our core values of Pride, Participation and Empathy.
