Today, our Careers department organised World of Work Day for our Year 11 students and we were delighted to welcome a great many visiting professionals from a huge variety of fields,

Including a number of former students, like Dominic below, to lead and participate in a day's programme of workshops for our students.

An invaluable opportunity for Year 11 to learn a great deal about working in the sectors represented.

Year 11 were given a time limit of 7 minutes with each representative, during which they had the opportunity to ask them questions and to try and guess what job they do. 

This was followed by workshops and presentations on CV Writing Skills:

Interview Skills:

And an Introduction to Apprenticeships with our Careers Advisor Amy Marshall:

A truly enriching day for Year 11 as they plan their academic journeys and career paths; with huge thanks to all of our visiting representatives who gave their time to inspire our students and to Head of Careers Mrs Kinder and Amy Marshall for organising this wonderful opportunity for our students.
