Tara meeting

We have been proud as a school to participate in TARA (Trafford School's Antiracism Alliance) over the last 18 months, working towards TARA's vision with students and staff from Altrincham Grammar School for Boys and various schools across Trafford including St Ambrose and Altrincham College of Arts.

TARA's shared vision is to raise awareness and organise initiatives towards:

• Creating a fair and inclusive environment for every student in Trafford
• Combining forces to share ideas and schemes
• Empowering our schools to dismantle patterns of racism and injustice in both schools and communities
• Creating an equal environment where students are free to express and celebrate individuality.

TARA organised many fund-raising and cultural events last year, but many of our original committee members have now moved on to university, so we have been delighted to invite our new cohort of Year 12 and 13 students to join with the Year 11s who remain on our committee to work together towards progressing TARA objectives over the coming year.

The students shared lots of great ideas and are planning a first fund-raising event before we finish for the half-term.
