Oxford university experience day for year 12

A fantastic and enriching day for our aspiring Year 12 Oxbridge candidates

As the sun beat down today on the dreamy spires of Oxford University, it was perfect conditions for a cohort of our high-achieving aspirational Year 12 students to visit and enjoy a full day's programme of events at this prestigious centre of learning.

It started with a morning spent at Corpus Christi College, where our Year 12s benefitted from a lecture on Higher Education and the Oxbridge Admissions process.

This was followed by a debating workshop, and lunch in the simply awe-inspiring Main Hall.

There was then a tour of the college ...

and the opportunity to engage in a Q&A with current University of Oxford undergraduate students.

Our students were also given the opportunity to visit the Science area and the Natural History Museum, before a tour of both Brasenose and St Anne's Colleges.

And Year 12 also had some independent free time to explore the University, and its impressive grounds and facilities.

All in all, a truly inspirational day for everyone who participated; with huge thanks to our hosts at the University of Oxford, to the Sixth Form Team for organising, and to Mr Kennedy-Fowler for the photography!
