nadal's cricket success

So proud of Nadal 7R & his selection by Lancashire Cricket club to play for the U12 squad!

We have previously shared news about talented cricketer Nadal and are now delighted to provide an update on his latest achievement: he has been selected by Lancashire Cricket Club to play for the U12 squad against Greater Manchester in the tournament taking place next month.

Here Nadal tells us more about this and about his Cricket journey so far:

I started playing cricket when I was 5 with the All Stars based at Urmston cricket Club, and I progressed to U9 Captain before beginning to play U11 hard ball. During my second season of U11 I was put forward to play for District and I had a really good season, scoring 50 in one game. Next season, I was again put forward for District, and was appointed Captain.

Last September, I was put forward for Inter-League trials, and was really pleased to be selected. We then trained for a number of weeks before the final squad was selected, and I was chosen to be on it.

Our coach organised practice games against Lancashire where all 24 players would play, and I was selected to play in the forthcoming match on 8th May.

I enjoy cricket because it's a really active sport, you always have something to do, whether that's batting, bowling, fielding or throwdowns.

And I hope to perform well in the incoming season that starts on 26th April.

I wouldn't be able to achieve any of this without the help of my coaches, so I owe them a big thanks.

Really well done Nadal, and we look forward to sharing updates on both the forthcoming big match and his progress!
