a very special guest helps our pta ambassadors

Look who dropped in! And celebrating our School Council charity Easter Egg collection

Our PTA ambassadors, supported by Mrs Wall, organised a fun event this morning to round off term for our KS3 students: forms from years 7-9 were invited to join together in solving the clues strategically placed around school in order to track down elusive Easter eggs.

But it just wouldn't be the same without the support of a very special visitor, who brought not only the sunshine but the Easter fun, and is pictured in our lead photograph with just some of our PTA ambassadors: Sophie, Poppy and Arwen.

And while the Bunny might be clutching the eggs in the picture below, he was delighted to award them to the forms who were the first to triumph in cracking the clues; really well done to:

A lovely way to start our last day of term, with huge thanks both to our fabulous PTA Ambassadors and to Mrs Wall for organising the challenge, and to the one and only Easter Bunny, (spoiler alert) aka Chris 8U: really well done Chris for so joyfully and enthusiastically fulfilling your role, and for helping to make today's event egg-stra special!

School Council Egg Collection for the Starlight Ward at Wythenshawe Hospital

Today, our School Council and our school community have also done us immensely proud: the former organised a special collection of Easter eggs to be donated to the Children's Ward at Wythenshawe Hospital, and they asked students to bring in their donations today.

Pictured below with the truly impressive haul of donations in our Main Hall are some of our School Council members:

Zainab, Olivia and Lucy

Really well done all, we could not be more proud, and we are sure that the donations will help to spread some joy on the ward.

With huge thanks to our marvellous School Council, to Head of Student Development Miss Murray for her ongoing work with them, and to all in our wider school community - parents, carers and staff - for their contributions to this fantastic cause.

And in a final piece of news, Miss Murray continues to support and develop the Year 10 PSE Ambassador programme, and is delighted that in the last week the Ambassadors have successfully delivered their third PSE lesson to Year 7.

As Mrs Wall observes, the Year 10 students have demonstrated remarkable student leadership skills, and are role models to all.

A huge commendation to: Ritta, Eliza, Zach, Max, Mia, Evangeline, Chris, Gui, Neve and Evie.

Keep up the fantastic work!
