idl achievement

Huge congratulations to Year 10 Joshua!

Mr Panter is delighted to announce this term's winner of the award for the highest level of engagement with our IDL programme: Joshua 10U. Really well done!

Here Mr Panter explains more about the IDL programme and Joshua's award:

IDL is advanced computer-based system designed to supplement and enhance students' academic abilities, It encompasses various components targeting spelling, handwriting, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

The recent campaign at Urmston Grammar aimed to encourage students to engage actively with the IDL programme in order to win a prize. With a reminder suggesting a minimum dedication of 10 minutes daily and an optimal recommendation of three to five sessions per week, students were motivated to consistently utilise IDL to witness tangible progress in their literacy skills.

Among the participants, Joshua 10U emerged as the winner for the most engagement with IDL. His commitment and consistent involvement in the programme showcased an active approach towards enhancing his literacy skills.

The initiative not only incentivised students with the prospect of winning a gift voucher, but also emphasised the crucial link between active engagement and educational growth.

By actively participating in the IDL programme, students not only improve their chances of winning rewards but also significantly enhance their educational journey.

Congratulations to Joshua and all participants for their dedication and commitment to enhancing their literacy skills through IDL at Urmston Grammar.

Keep up the fantastic work, we could not be more proud!

With huge thanks to Mr Panter and Learning Support for the ongoing IDL provision for our students.
