library shelfie day house competition results

Huge congratulations to our winners!

We're really proud of our reading culture here at UGS, and yesterday was Library Shelfie Day, so of course we had to celebrate!

To that end, we organised a House competition, inviting students (and staff) to take part by nominating the titles that would make up their dream bookshelf.

By participating, students not only contribute to our whole school reading community through sharing and promoting reading recommendations, but engage with our House system, by taking the opportunity to join in and earn points for their respective Houses.

It has been fantastic to see the great take-up from across the year groups, and we can't wait to share all the great ideas for what to read next amongst the students.

There was also the chance to win a prize from a draw, and pictured above arriving to collect theirs are just 2 of our lucky winners: Year 8s Joseph and Maria. Also winning but not pictured: Lila 7R and George 12G.

Congratulations, enjoy your prizes, and really well done to all our students for another great demonstration of our core UGS values!
