Year 7 science club

Year 7 Science Club going from strength to strength!

Mrs Walsh is excited to share that our Year 7 Scientists are doing us proud with their amazing level of participation at lunchtime Science Club, which, as you can see, is enthusiastically well-attended!

The theme of Science Club this half-term is Forensics and Forensic Science investigation, an absolute must for enquiring minds and any Silent Witness enthusiasts!

In Week 1 the students learnt how to take samples and study fingerprints:

And in Week 2, the scientists have been busy learning how to separate inks using chromatography:

A really great extracurricular opportunity for our developing KS3 scientists, and the joy of their engagement is clear to see!

Keep up the great work Year 7. We can't wait to hear and see more as the term progresses!

Huge thanks to Mrs Walsh for organising this rewarding and enriching lunchtime opportunity for Year 7 and for sharing the fabulous news and photographs.
