CELEBRATING IDL SUCCESS THIS TERM

Huge congratulations to our IDL students and to this half-term's winner Anna 8M!

Mr Panter is proud to share news about the ongoing success of our students' participation in the IDL programme, and to recognise and celebrate Year 8 Anna for her outstanding commitment to the initiative, as he explains:

IDL is an advanced computer-based system designed to supplement and enhance students' academic abilities: it encompasses various components targeting spelling, handwriting, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

The recent campaign at Urmston Grammar aimed to encourage students to engage actively with the IDL programme in order to win a prize. With a reminder suggesting a minimum dedication of 10 minutes daily, and an optimal recommendation of three to five sessions per week, students were motivated to consistently utilise IDL to witness tangible progress in their literacy skills.

Amongst the participants, Year 8 Anna emerged as the winner as she demonstrated the highest level of engagement with IDL. Her commitment and consistent involvement in the programme showcased an active approach towards enhancing her literacy skills.

The initiative not only incentivised students with the prospect of winning a prize voucher, but also emphasised the crucial link between active engagement and educational growth. By actively participating in the IDL programme, students not only improve their chances of winning rewards but also significantly enhance their educational journey.

Congratulations to Anna and all participants for their dedication and commitment to enhancing their literacy skills through IDL at Urmston Grammar.

Really well done Anna and to all IDL students for your commitment to learning, with thanks to Mr Panter for facilitating this opportunity for them and for updating us about their success.
