whole school charity event today

Food Fest: Our Sixth Formers organised a fantastic charity event during lunchtime today

It was amazing at lunchtime to see our whole school community come together to support Food Fest, organised by Year 12 Adam (pictured R below on one of the delicious food stalls) and a team of Sixth Formers, to raise funds for the vital humanitarian support work of Doctors without Borders.

Students and staff got involved in making and donating culturally diverse food and drinks to be sold, and prizes for the Tombola (pictured below as year 8 Goree has a go):

Our talented sixth formers were also offering the opportunity to enjoy Henna hand-painting:

Another great, fantastically well-supported whole school community experience for such a worthy cause, with students and staff embodying yet again our core UGS values of Pride, Participation and Empathy.

And in an update this evening we are thrilled to share news that a phenomenal total of £468.00 was raised!

Really well done all, with huge thanks to Adam and Sixth Form for organising this, and to all the students, parents, carers, and staff for supporting the event either by coming along and/or donating goods and money. We're super proud of you all!
