Dear Year 6 Pupils, Parents/Carers,
Making the transition from Year 6 into Year 7 at Urmston Grammar is a time for new beginnings, and an exciting time for all of you! We hope that you and your families are well, and that you are looking forward to joining our school community in September. It is our intention, to make the transition process as smooth as possible for all our new pupils and parents, and even though the current school closure means we may not be able to deliver our usual programme of induction events in full, over the coming weeks we will be developing an Online Induction Programme on our website. Please do keep checking this page regularly for videos and updates to give you an insight into what life as year 7 pupil at Urmston Grammar will be like! We will work incredibly hard to make sure all our new pupils know as much as possible about our routines and expectations, and are familiar with key members tof the Year 7 pastoral team. We are confident that our new pupils will quickly feel very at home at Urmston Grammar School!
At this time of the academic year, our transition team would usually have been out and about visiting you all in your primary schools. Unfortunately, due to the current school closures, we have been unable to do so. However, please do have a good look at our virtual visit, which you will see at the end of this page, and say hello to Miss Harding, our Pastoral Leader for Year 7. Listen carefully to what she has to say, and follow along in the online booklet.
In the meantime, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in contact with the Transition Team:
- Mrs A Rogers (Assistant Head/Admissions and Transition) email@example.com
- Miss R Harding (Pastoral Leader Year 7) firstname.lastname@example.org
- Mrs J Lattin (Pastoral Manager ) email@example.com
Stay safe and well and we look forward to meeting you all at the earliest opportunity.
Mrs A Rogers
