Government advice about self-isolation remains the same so please check my email message from yesterday or https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance.
Thank you to the parents who have contacted school via email@example.com and explained their decision to self-isolate with their child because someone in their immediate family is in a vulnerable group.
I know that some of you have also made the decision to keep your child away from school as someone in your family is displaying possible symptoms; thank you for letting us know and we wish them a speedy recovery.
Currently, we have no confirmed cases of Covid -19 amongst our school community.
The government directive for schools to remain open, means that If your child is healthy please continue to send them into school; we will ensure that we continue with lessons as effectively as we can.
For those who are self-isolating, please note that teaching staff cannot set work for individual students.
My email from 13/3 did mention that students can direct their own learning using the links I shared. Departments have been putting resources on to the shared drive (R)) on the school system and on SMH for students to access. Students should know how to access these resources, but I have attached some help guides, for those who may need a reminder.
Later today I will forward a suggested timetable, which students should use as a guide to organise their learning.
Staff numbers are diminished and we are currently reviewing if we need to consider a partial closure in which we will prioritise certain year groups.
If you have any questions please contact me or any member of the SLT via firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your continued support in what are difficult circumstances.
