year 7 lake district residential

On Monday, the first of our Year 7s - 7U, R & M - set off in high spirits from rain-drenched Manchester to the much more scenically watery surroundings of the Lake District for the annual UGS Year 7 Residential visit.

As you can see from the photographs above and below, our Year 7s wasted no time in throwing themselves into all the activities and challenges available to them from arrival. 

This has included learning and developing skills in raft-building:

And in deploying the rafts once constructed!

Not to mention bravely jumping in afterwards!

Fell walks (Tuesday evening's features in our lead picture) and exploratory challenge courses:

Workshops in search and rescue and in bushcraft:

There's so much more for Year 7 to look forward to and navigate, not least the legendary and much-loved King Swing, and we can't wait to share updates.
