…And it’s to be hoped that heads are not set to roll. But with Princes William and Harry bearing light sabres who can tell what might befall those who stand in close proximity!
The young man – pictured here, scissored between two light sabres and holding the ‘controller’ – is none other the former head boy, Robert Seex. Robert left Urmston Grammar in July 2004, before completing an Arts Foundation course at South Trafford College, and going on to graduate from Hertfordshire University with a degree In Model Making and Special Effects.
Since graduating, Robert has mainly worked in and around Pinewood Studios, creating props for T.V. advertisements and for cinema. In recent years, he has completed items for the films: ‘Sherlock Holmes’, ‘The Martian’, ‘Skyfall’ and – most recently of all – ‘Star Wars VII – The Force Awakens’. Currently, he is working on ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ and the armoury for the next in the series, Episode VIII.
The visit, by the Princes William and Harry, was apparently kept a secret until the day. You never know who is going to turn up at work!
