Lower School Exam 2020

Lower School exams will be set during lesson time in most subjects.  They are designed to help pupils practise revising for exams in a range of subjects completed close together, since this is what pupils must do for GCSE. Pupils should consult their subject teachers for details of what to revise. They will receive a letter about their exams in the run up to their exam period. Please study the letter with your child and encourage them to revise hard.

Your child’s teachers will take into account your child’s exam performance when reporting overall attainment at the end of the year. Exam performance also helps teachers monitor your child’s progress in terms of achieving their target grades.

Whilst it is important to recognize pupil achievement in exams, please stress to your child that what matters more than their exam scores is that they understand what to do next to keep improving in each subject. Pupils therefore need to pay great attention to, and act on, Learning Targets whenever teachers set these.

Year 9 exams begin Monday 4th May 2020

Year 7 exams begin Monday 8th June 2020

Year 8 exams begin Monday 8th June 2020
