Admissions Information Update – Covid-19

We realise that the extraordinary circumstances in which we now find ourselves will cause anxiety and uncertainty.  Please rest assured we will do our very best to keep you informed, and would advise you to regularly check our admission pages which we will update once we have further information. We would respectfully request that you do not call the school, as we have a skeleton staff in operation until further notice.

ENTRANCE EXAM

At this stage the entrance examination will proceed as expected, and therefore we would encourage both parents and children to continue as best they can with their preparations.

Please view all the familiarisation booklets now available under the heading ‘Admission of children to year 7 for September 2021’ to assist with your preparations.

NEW INTAKE SEPT 2020  (Students allocated a place for September 2020)

Please be reassured we will do our very best to keep you informed of any changes to our induction processes.

 

Waiting List

If any places become available following the 1st allocation, candidates on the waiting list will be considered and ranked according to our oversubscription criteria for the available place.

 

Parents will be notified by email if their child has been allocated a place.

APPEALS

If you are intending to pursue a statutory appeal following the allocation of school places, we are asking that you do not send hard copies of your appeal information by Friday 17th April as originally requested.   If you have already submitted the appeal information you will receive an acknowledgement as soon as is possible.

At this stage please confirm your intention to appeal via email to admssions@urmstongrammar.org.uk and we will then contact you with further instruction for when to submit the information.

It is our attention at the moment to proceed with the statutory appeals as intended, however, please rest assured we will do our very best to keep you informed of any changes.

 

In-Year Assessments

If you have provided your details for an In-Year assessment please wait for us to contact you to confirm when this will take place.

If you are enquiring about an In-Year assessment please read all the information provided under the heading ‘In-Year admissions to Year 7 – 11’
