Christmas in the Community: CoPE-ing Well

Toys for Key 103’s Mission Christmas

Students and staff at Urmston Grammar have done their utmost to ensure that this Christmas has been a season of giving.

St Clement’s Church

Hundreds of students – and staff members too – gave of their talents on Wednesday and Thursday evening (13th and 14th Dec), at St Clement’s Church in Urmston, at our annual Festival of Christmas.  This was a real treat for the ears, as carollong choristers crooned, instrumentalists invoked the spirits and evoked the spirit of Christmas past and present, and readers recited favourite tales of yore.

Gifts galore have been given towards Key 103’s Mission Christmas appeal.

Welcome to the Grotto

And our sixth form students are constantly involved in the community.  One afternoon every week is given over to forging links with the community in what the school calls CoPE (community and Physical Education) sessions.  And on the last two Mondays respectively sixth formers have laid on CoPE Christmas parties at Urmston Grammar for pupils from Delamere Special School and for local Senior Citizens.
