Pictured above are the enterprising students who made up the Urmston Grammar team that was runner-up in the North West regional final of this year’s Coca Cola European Partners (CCEP) ‘Real Business Challenge’.

To gain their runners-up place, the team had to present to a panel of judges from the worlds of business, charity and education with a campaign to promote awareness of the Special Olympics National Games. The competition, involving students aged 13-15, was entered by more than 100 schools across 11 regions in Great Britain.

Teams from across the North West descended on Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry to take part in a number of practical challenges. These challenges focused on assembling a campaign to support Special Olympics GB, the aim being to raise awareness for the charity and its National Games which are to be held in Sheffield this summer.

Congratulations to our Urmston Grammar team for performing so well!
